How To Join
LAOR Membership
To apply for LAOR membership, please submit the following documentation:• Completed LAOR Membership Application, including responsible broker's signature
• Copy of your California Department of Real Estate salesperson's or broker's license
• Copy of your picture ID (driver's license, passport, etc.)
• Payment for the appropriate dues amount.
Completed, signed applications can be mailed, or hand-delivered to LAOR at 1740 Main St., Susanville, CA 96130.
Multiple Listing Service (MLS)
REALTOR® membership does not include access to the MLS. The LAOR participates in an independent MLS.
The Lassen Association of Realtors® owns and operates the multiple listing service (MLS) in the Lassen County region. An MLS is a member cooperative that real estate brokers join to share information on listed properties. When a cooperating broker assists the listing broker in the sale of a listed property, the cooperating broker earns compensation from the listing broker. Among its roles, Lassen MLS:
• Develops, maintains and enforces MLS rules
• Purchases and distributes lockboxes and keys to membership
• Sets subscription fees
• Maintains MLS data
Subscribing to the Lassen MLS:
Any California licensed real estate broker, agent, or appraiser may submit an application to become a participant or subscriber in the Lassen MLS.If you meet the eligibility requirements based on the rules, download and complete the Application for Membership for Realtors®, MLS Only participant, or an Affiliate with MLS.

Lockboxes and Lockbox Keys
To obtain a lockbox and/or key, please call the LAOR Member Services at (530) 257-5220. For the best service please call to make an appointment to pick up your key or lockbox.Affililate Membership:
To apply for affiliate membership, please submit an affiliate membership application with MLS or without MLS, accompanied by the appropriate dues payment. Please contact the LAOR Member Services at (530) 257-5220 for the fee schedule.Mail or deliver your completed application and fees to:

We will return your application fee in the event that you are not elected for membership. Dues are payable upon acceptance as an affiliate member and can be paid by check, credit card or cash. We accept VISA, MasterCard, Discover and American Express.
New Member Orientation
When you join LAOR, you will sign up for a new member orientation. The National Association of REALTORS® requires that you complete this new member orientation within 60 days of joining the Association. The LAOR offers members several orientation options for completing the mandatory orientation:• Live class held by appt.
• Online - please talk to your Member Services representative to make arrangements and get instructions
Note: In order for the staff to prepare your course materials, we need you to deliver your membership application and payment to the LAOR at least 24 hours before your orientation time. Please arrive on time for the class and plan to stay the entire course time. Please do not bring children with you, as this is a classroom environment.
